Wenche Rolfsen

Member of TFS Scientific Advisory Board

Dr. Wenche Rolfsen has more than twenty-five years experience in drug development within the Pharmaceutical as well as the CRO industry. She has been actively involved in development and commercialization of Pharmaceutical products since 1980. Her experience ranges from development of new drugs to market approval on a global scale.

During her 16 years at former Pharmacia Upjohn, she held a number of senior management position at Pharmacia Diagnostics, KABI Pharmacia health care and Pharmacia Ophthalmics.

During the mid 1990, Wenche Rolfsen moved from the Pharmaceutical industry to join Quintiles, the world’s largest CRO. During her 11 years at Quintiles, she held senior executive positions as CEO of the Quintiles Scandinavian offices as well as Vice President Europe for Explorative clinical research. Wenche Rolfsen has a broad experience in Board assignments in the life science area as Chairman and member of boards, of which several are listed on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo börs, Norway.

Currently board member at Biovitrum, Industrifonden, Artimplant, Aprea (Chairman), Denator (Chairman) and Aker Biomarine AS, Norway. Dr. Wenche Rolfsen is a Pharmacist by training and has a Ph.D from the Pharmaceutical Faculty, Uppsala University, Sweden and has for many years held an adjunct professorship in Pharmacology at the same university.
